Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines and be physically fit for demanding tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be able to work under pressure
- The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to lift weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be client focus, reliable, initiative, accurate, dependability, flexibility, organized, and judgment
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, be a team player, and should have excellent oral communication skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products safely and efficiently
- The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch accurately, load and unload goods carefully, and use maps and other trip planning aids proficiently
- The candidates should be able to record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems diligently
- The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle meticulously
- The candidates should be able to keep a record of items received and delivered systematically
- The candidates should be able to follow directions and read maps accurately
