Salary: $16.50 to $18.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 20 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time leading to full time
Location: St. John’s, NL
Shifts: Morning, 08:00 to 16:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks and heavy loads, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks, demonstrating professionalism in customer service
- The candidates should be capable of loading and unloading goods, recording trip information, and handling payments for delivered items
- The candidates should be proficient in performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all vehicle aspects, and accepting payments or invoices
- The candidates should be able to possess the ability to keep records of items received and delivered while providing excellent customer service
- The candidates should be able to be skilled at following directions, reading maps, and maintaining a record of trip details such as mileage, fuel costs, and any encountered problems
