Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or Intermediate or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 2 years in a retail environment, preferably at a supervisory level

  • The candidates should be leaders who lead by example and have a passion for coaching, developing, and inspiring their team

  • The candidates should have a proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate interest in or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry, which is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for sports and live an active lifestyle as a Department Sales Manager of Footwear
  • The candidates should be keenly interested in shoes and eager to learn more, potentially even being a sneakerhead
  • The candidates should demonstrate a positive and engaged attitude when dealing with customers and employees and be responsible for coaching and developing their team
  • The candidates should look to develop relationships with customers and provide mentorship and coaching to their team to ensure the same
  • The candidates should coach and develop their department team by setting expectations, keeping open lines of communication, coaching on a continual basis, providing constructive feedback, and ongoing support
  • The candidates should build and manage a daily game and sales plan for the department
  • The candidates should create development plans for full-time staff, providing support and coaching to improve any performance gaps
  • The candidates should communicate skills proven through effective huddles/meetings/coaching sessions
  • The candidates should develop and maintain a positive work environment for staff
