Job Description:

Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 22.5 to 37.5 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Part time leading to full time
Location: Ottawa, ON Remote work available
Shifts: Day
Work setting: Help desk and Private sector

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Linux, Networking software, Networking hardware, Networking security, Internet, Servers, Desktop applications,, MS Office, MS Windows, SharePoint, TCP/IP, and Wireless networks
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Enhanced reliability security clearance, and Criminal record check

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced effectively
  • The candidates should be able to consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions proficiently
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties courteously
  • The candidates should be able to collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts systematically
  • The candidates should be able to provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties efficiently
  • The candidates should be able to set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring the proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software accurately
  • The candidates should be able to perform web-server backup and recovery operations diligently
