Salary: $17.50 to $22.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Kennel, Pet grooming shop, and Dog training school
Type of pets groomed: All breeds of dogs
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Green economy sector
Dog training expertise: Obedience, Canine behaviour problems/modification, Tracking and discrimination
Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)
Credentials: Pet first aid course, and Pet Grooming Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract), and Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be prepared for physically demanding tasks, including handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling as required and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and handle weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

- The candidates should prioritize client focus and demonstrate dependability
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit excellent oral and written communication
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their duties and be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe and shampoo animals and prepare food and feed them
- The candidates should be able to clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures
- The candidates should be able to supervise helpers, maintain and order supplies, and monitor and document animal behavior
