Salary: $20.00 to $35.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 1056 Old Derry Rd. Mississauga, ON L5W 1A1
Shifts: Day, 08:00 to 17:00
Work setting: Pet grooming shop, Pet shop
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Animal specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)
Credentials: Pet Grooming Certificate, Pet first aid course
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability, flexibility, good judgment, and reliability
- The candidates should be team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe and shampoo animals, clip animal coats, style animal coats, clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures, and keep records of animals treated
- The candidates should be able to document and monitor animal behavior, clean animal ears, provide flea bath treatments to animals, and clip animal nails
- The candidates should be able to perform expert clipping on show animals with tools including clippers, shears, and massage sponges
