The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to full time or permanent employment. The candidates have to work in Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning shifts. The employer is LMIA approved to hire a foreign worker to fill labour or skills shortages on a temporary basis.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need secondary (high) school graduation certificate education qualification
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):
Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Air Brakes Endorsement
Documentation Knowledge:
Accident or incident reports, Trip reports, Trans-border documentation, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Dangerous goods occurrence reports, Driver logbook, Bill of lading
Communication Systems Experience:
Communication systems experience such as Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, Trip recorder (on-board computer) and, Citizens band (CB) radio is required
Security and Safety:
Driving record check (abstract)

Transportation/Travel Experience:
The candidate needs transportation/travel experience such as Long-haul
Transportation/Travel Information:
Willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to transport and handle dangerous goods
- The candidate should be able to perform preventive maintenance
- The candidate should be able to perform emergency roadside repairs
- The candidate should be able to perform brake adjustments; Load and unload goods
- The candidate should be able to drive lighter, special purpose trucks
- The candidate should be able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- The candidate should be able to tarping and ensure the safety and security of cargo
- The candidate should be able to drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- The candidate should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- The candidate should be able to obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- The candidate should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- The candidate should be able to perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
