Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Certificates, Memberships, Licenses, Courses, Child development assistant (ECE level 1), First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, and excellent oral communication, while also being flexible, reliable team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children effectively
- The candidate should be able to lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, fostering their engagement and learning
- The candidate should be able to encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, nurturing their imagination and self-expression
- The candidate should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, ensuring their well-being and independence
- The candidate should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors, facilitating early intervention and support
- The candidate should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, promoting collaborative care and development
- The candidate should be able to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, fostering a supportive and enriching environment
