Fine Art Montessori Childcare Centre Inc offers a Montessori-based education program for children aged 18 months to 6 years old, with a focus on developing children’s independence, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. Our curriculum is based on the Montessori philosophy, which emphasizes hands-on, experiential learning, and encourages children to learn at their own pace. Salary: $18.00 to $18.50 hourly (to be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Food allergy and anaphylaxis training
Security and safety: Basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be punctual and reliable
- The candidates should have interpersonal awareness, values and ethics, efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to storytelling, bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers, support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts, provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits, maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings
- The candidates should be able to observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor, knowledge of Day Nurseries Act, knowledge of licensing regulations
- The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
