Children’s Club and Art Academy based in Burnaby, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Early childhood educator assistant. Children’s Club and Art Academy teach drawing, music, Yoga & meditation and handicraft product and all types of craft item for school with great responsibility. Salary: $19.00 hourly for 37.5 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates should have standard educational qualification such as Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: The candidate should have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddler, tell stories, order supplies and equipment, support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
  • The candidate should assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts, maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • The candidate should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • The candidate should discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
