Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should handle physically demanding tasks while demonstrating attention to detail
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as performing activities like bending, crouching, and kneeling
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers attentively, while also developing and implementing child-care programs that support holistic growth
- The candidates should efficiently order supplies and equipment to ensure smooth childcare activities, fostering children’s creativity and self-expression
- The candidates should engage children in various activities to promote cognitive and social development, guiding them in proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits to encourage independence
- The candidates should maintain daycare equipment, assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, and prepare snacks and rest areas efficiently to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- The candidates should provide written observations on children’s development and behavior, ensuring compliance with childcare regulations and fostering a positive atmosphere among children and staff
- The candidates should assess children’s abilities and needs, communicate effectively with parents and staff members, and attend meetings to contribute to a team-based approach in childcare management
- The candidates should establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers, prioritizing children’s health, security, and well-being
