Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Pre-school education
Credentials: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam, Immunization records, Tuberculosis test, and Vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks with attention to detail, demonstrating comfort with activities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual and possess efficient interpersonal skills, demonstrating flexibility in their approach to tasks and exhibiting sound judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care, attention to individual needs, and guide them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits to promote independence
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement effective child-care programs supporting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development, engaging children in storytelling activities, and providing opportunities for creative expression
- The candidates should observe children for signs of learning or behavioral problems, prepare reports as needed, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations such as the Day Nurseries Act and licensing requirements
- The candidates should assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs, communicate progress or concerns with parents and staff effectively, and attend staff meetings to contribute to problem-solving and planning efforts
- The candidates should establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers to support holistic development and maintain an environment prioritizing the health, security, and overall well-being of children
