Salary: $21.50 to $26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time

Shifts: Day
Work setting: Child care centre

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Child development worker (ECE level 2), and First Aid Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be non-smokers

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and engage in storytelling activities
  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children’s development, and lead activities such as telling stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidates should be able to encourage children’s creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, guide and assist children in developing proper habits, and maintain daycare equipment while assisting in housekeeping and cooking duties
