Job Description:

Position: Early childhood educator (ECE)
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $20.50 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: 404 WILLARD AVENUE Toronto, ON M6S 3R5
Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Child care centre, and Willing to relocate
Supervision: 1 to 2 people


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College/CEGEP
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Emergency child care first aid and CPR, Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate 

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks efficiently and handling physically demanding tasks effectively
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in all aspects of their work and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as required for the job

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit punctuality in their work attendance and commitments, possess excellent oral communication skills for effective interaction, and demonstrate excellent written communication skills for clear and concise correspondence
  • The candidates should work well as part of a team, fostering collaboration and cooperation, and showcase creativity in problem-solving and task execution

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and outings to local points of interest, and encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children, discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, and plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
