Shifts: Day, Overtime, 07:30 to 17:30
Work setting: Child care centre
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a noisy environment
- The candidates should be non-smoking
- The candidates should be able to work in an air-conditioned environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality and demonstrate reliability
- The candidates possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication
- The candidates should be a team player and uphold values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and assist in the development and implementation of child-care programs that support children’s holistic development
- The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling, lead activities promoting children’s development, and encourage creativity through art, music, and physical activities
- The candidates should be able to guide children in proper habits, maintain daycare equipment, and assist with housekeeping and cooking duties
- The candidates should be able to observe children for learning or behavioral issues, submit written observations to supervisors, and discuss progress or problems at staff meetings
- The candidates should have knowledge of licensing regulations, establish behavior guidelines, assess children’s abilities and needs, and collaborate with parents and other staff members
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain a safe environment, organize activities for school-age children, and supervise and coordinate the activities of other staff members
