Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks with consistency and precision
- The candidates should be physically fit and able to meet the demands of a physically demanding job
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in their work
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as required by the job
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary for the role
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, consistently arriving on time for work and appointments, and exhibit dependability, reliably fulfilling their responsibilities and commitments
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients, and demonstrate excellent oral communication skills, effectively conveying information and ideas
- The candidates should display flexibility, adapting easily to changing circumstances and requirements, exercise good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving, be reliable, consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, prepare snacks, and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, and assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
- The candidates should be able to attend staff meetings to discuss the progress and problems of children, establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants
