Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have college or CEGEP graduates with a focus on relevant disciplines
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance and Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be proficient in handling repetitive tasks and be attentive to detail
  • The candidates should be capable of managing a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be equipped with efficient interpersonal skills and be adept at working as a team player
  • The candidates should be proficient in excellent oral communication and skilled in excellent written communication
  • The candidates should be known for their reliability and be individuals who prioritize values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment and assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • The candidates should be able to provide opportunities for children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should be able to maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties, and demonstrate knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge of licensing regulations and establish guidelines for behavior
