Salary: $20.00 to $22.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: North Vancouver, BC


Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years 
Credentials: Child development assistant (ECE level 1), First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks and work in physically demanding conditions
  • The candidates should have attention to detail and be able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed and have manual dexterity

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and dependability
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit flexibility
  • The candidates should demonstrate interpersonal awareness, judgment, and reliability
  • The candidates should be team players and uphold values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position


  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • The candidates should assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records and submitting written observations on children
  • The candidates should encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • The candidates should guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, prepare snacks, and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • The candidates should discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, attend staff meetings, and establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
