Salary: $45.00 to $55.00 hourly (to be negotiated) / 80 to 100 hours bi-weekly

Location: Inuvik, NT
Transportation information: Willing to travel, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Construction, Staff accommodation provided, Service, Repair, Maintenance, Commercial, Residential, Installation, Remote location

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices, Motors and controls
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification
Security and safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment
The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to do professionalism in customer service and install underground wiring and cables
The candidates should be able to install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes, keep maintenance reports and documentation, splice, join and connect wires
The candidates should be able to test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits, determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
The candidates should be able to troubleshoot and isolate faults, connect power to audio and visual equipment
The candidates should be able to install surface mount and/or overhead cables, instruct apprentices
The candidates should be able to ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs
The candidates should be able to renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
