Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a Registered Apprenticeship certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Security and surveillance system, Lighting system
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices, Electronic devices, Generators and turbines, Motors and controls, Hand tools
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and have experience working at heights
- The candidates should be familiar with confined spaces and aware of and able to handle dangerous conditions
- The candidates should be adaptable to dusty environments and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should have a strong attention to detail and be open to overtime requirements, able to meet tight deadlines
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service and install underground wiring and cables
- The candidates should be able to install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes and design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations
- The candidates should be able to splice, join, and connect wires and design and construct low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations
- The candidates should be able to test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and the integrity of circuits and troubleshoot and isolate faults
- The candidates should be able to connect power to audio and visual equipment and install surface mount and/or overhead cables
- The candidates should be able to install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems and ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures, including swimming pools and hot tubs
- The candidates should be able to renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures and read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
