With a focus on innovation and environmental stewardship, Tolko Industries operates timber harvesting operations, sawmills, and value-added wood processing facilities across Western Canada. Work setting: Repair, Maintenance, Willing to relocate, Installation, and Troubleshooting/diagnostic
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Emergency power system, Fire alarm system, Lighting system, and Robotic equipment and systems
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices, High voltage equipment, Motors and controls, Solid state devices, and Programmable logic controller (PLC)
Own tools/equipment: Tools and Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Electrician Trade Certification, First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, and Drug test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable working at heights
- The candidates should be able to work in cold/refrigerated environments and in dusty conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in hot environments
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and be prepared for physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be willing to work overtime as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have a strong client focus
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and exhibit initiative in their roles
- The candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, along with good judgment
- The candidates should be organized and work well as team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to install, replace, and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
- The candidates should be able to splice, join, and connect wires and install surface mount and/or overhead cables
- The candidates should be able to test and measure voltage, loads, and ground faults integrity of circuits and troubleshoot and isolate faults
- The candidates should be able to determine the appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate professionalism in customer service and keep maintenance reports and documentation
- The candidates should be able to instruct apprentices and conduct preventive maintenance programs
