Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a College Diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology: Automation and Control
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should possess a License C (Non-construction electrician skills card) or have accumulated at least 2500 hours of relevant experience
- The candidate should have knowledge of Rockwell Automation product suites, including Control Logix, Kinetix, Panel View, and Power Flex
- The candidate should have knowledge of production systems in a manufacturing environment
- The candidate should demonstrate ease of learning new technologies, demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and proficiency with associated technical processed
- The candidate should have effective oral and written communication skills in French, knowledge of SAP maintenance management software
- The candidate should have knowledge of ABB industrial robots, knowledge of Cognex industrial cameras
- The candidate should have knowledge of Siemens S7 programmable logic controllers, knowledge of Texas Instruments (TI) programmable logic controllers
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to intervene to restart a line in problem following a disturbance, a break, a malfunction or an unplanned shutdown
- The candidates should be able to perform planned work arising from engineering or continuous improvement activities on various production equipment with the aim of improving line efficiency and performance
- The candidates should be able to check and inspect electrical equipment to prevent defects and meet quality standards
- The candidates should be able to communicate any changes made or complications encountered to the teams responsible for the impacted departments
- The candidates should be able to assist departmental electrical technicians in manually updating plans, programs, and electrical drawings impacted by a change made and monitor the IT update with the systems group
- The candidates should be able to enter time and operation details into maintenance software (SAP & Meta)
- The candidates should be able to participate in daily meetings over the last 24 hours (electrical department)
- The candidates should be able to ensure, before leaving at the end of the shift, that if a problem is not resolved, an action plan has been put in place and perform all other related tasks
