Salary: $17.00 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Part time leading to full time
Location: Scarborough, ON
Shifts: Day, Night, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis
Note: This is NOT a condition of employment), room and board provided, urban area, and work in employer’s/client’s home

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Arabic and Urdu
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Assistance with mobility

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be punctual, dedicated to client focus, and demonstrate dependability
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and have excellent oral communication skills
  • The candidates should exhibit flexibility, show initiative in their tasks, and exercise good judgment
  • The candidates should be highly organized, reliable in meeting commitments, and be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including assisting clients in water (i.e., pool)
  • The candidates should be able to administer medications and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
  • The candidates should be able to change non-sterile dressings and feed or assist in feeding
  • The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • The candidates should be able to plan therapeutic diets and menus, provide companionship, and offer personal care
  • The candidates should be able to shop for food and household supplies and prepare and serve nutritious meals
