Shifts: Day, Evening, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Elderly
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be adept at completing repetitive tasks
- The candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to work under pressure, and be comfortable sitting and standing for extended periods and walking as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate punctuality, prioritize client focus, exhibit dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, and excellent oral communication
- The candidates should display flexibility, initiative, and good judgment, along with organization, reliability, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, including administering medications and assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist clients with regular exercise, such as walking, feeding, and providing companionship
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, including laundering clothing and household linens, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and shopping for food and household supplies
