Work setting: Room and board provided and Employer’s home
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be non-smokers and comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during work hours
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality in their attendance and demonstrate dependability in fulfilling their obligations
- The candidates should display flexibility in adapting to changing situations and show initiative in taking on tasks and finding solutions
- The candidates should maintain an organized approach to their work and exhibit reliability in their performance
- The candidates should demonstrate patience in dealing with various situations and uphold honesty in all aspects of their work
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
- The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walking, assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder, and change non-sterile dressings
- The candidates should be able to feed or assist in feeding, launder clothing and household linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- The candidates should be able to plan therapeutic diets and menus, provide companionship, and provide personal care
- The candidates should be able to prepare and serve nutritious meals and cook
