Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning, 08:00 to 17:00
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Work site environment: Candidates should work in non-smoking area
Security and safety: Bond required, criminal record should checked, immunization records required, medical exam required, Tuberculosis test required and reference is required
Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available, willing to travel, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel overnight and willing to travel regularly
Weight handling: Between 81 and 100 kg (177-220 lbs)
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates need experience of 5 years or more
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Candidates must have Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Certificate, Behaviour management Certification, Intensive behavioural intervention Certification, Mental health first aid Certificate, Tracheostomy care training, CPR Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate and Personal Support Worker Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work overtime, in fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, sit, walk, stand for extended periods and also for bending, crouching, kneeling
- The candidate should be physically strong and also a combination of sitting, standing, walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work with being focused on the client, in a flexible environment, in an organized way and also take initiative
- The candidate should be someone who can judge, punctual, dependable, reliable and also a team
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills and also an excellent oral communication
- The candidate should have experience with special needs children like assistance with mobility
- The candidate should be able to take care of adults, convalescent, elderly, females, males, persons with a disability, persons with an intellectual disability, persons with mental health disabilities and also persons with physical disabilities
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to administer bedside and personal care and also administer medications
- The candidate should be able to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene and also assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidate should be able to assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder), change non-sterile dressings, feed or assist in feeding, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide personal care and also prepare and serve nutritious meals
