Salary: $17.05 hourly for 3 to 35 hours per week

Location: Grand Falls-Windsor, NL
Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Adults, Persons with an intellectual disability, and Persons with physical disabilities
Experience with special needs children: Assistance with mobility

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking comfortably for extended periods

Other Requirements:

The candidates should prioritize punctuality and client focus
The candidates should be dependable and possess efficient interpersonal skills
The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication and demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks
The candidates should exercise good judgment and maintain an organized approach to their work
The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to administer medications, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household (in the absence of the householder), launder clothing and household linens, and mend clothing and linens
The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide companionship, provide personal care, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
