Shifts: Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, On Call, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning
Work setting: Work in employer’s/client’s home
Target audience: Adults, Persons with an intellectual disability, and Persons with physical disabilities
Experience with special needs children: Assistance with mobility
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking comfortably for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality and client focus
- The candidates should be dependable and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should exhibit excellent oral communication and demonstrate flexibility in their approach to tasks
- The candidates should exercise good judgment and maintain an organized approach to their work
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer medications, assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, and assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk
- The candidates should be able to assume full responsibility for the household (in the absence of the householder), launder clothing and household linens, and mend clothing and linens
- The candidates should be able to perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provide companionship, provide personal care, and prepare and serve nutritious meals
