Barrhill Feeders Inc. based in Picture Butte, AB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Farm foreman/woman. Barrhill Feeders Inc. has been dedicated to providing top-notch feed and care for livestock. Our experienced team understands the unique nutritional needs of cattle and works diligently to formulate balanced and nutritious feed products that promote animal health and growth. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of farm foreman/woman is approved by LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment)

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Rural area

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system, Tractor
Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service, Beef cattle

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to do beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, other grain farming
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to feed inventory, maintain livestock performance records
  • The candidates should be able to monitoring animal health
  • The candidates should be able to maintain quality control and production records
  • The candidates should be able to recognize and treat certain livestock health problems
  • The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs
  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
