Position: Farm labourer – harvesting
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $15.50 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Kinkora, PE
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in farming other vegetables and melons (excluding potatoes) and be knowledgeable about farm operations related to them
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and handle repetitive tasks efficiently, as well as be capable of working under pressure and handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding work, possess attention to detail, and be comfortable standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks, as well as walking as part of their duties, with overtime potentially required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate good judgment, as well as be reliable and uphold values and ethics
- The candidates should be organized in their approach to tasks and be quick learners, with excellent oral communication skills
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops proficiently, as well as capable of harvesting crops efficiently and performing general farm duties effectively
- The candidates should have experience in vegetable culling and be proficient in weeding techniques
