Salary: $16.75 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Automated systems experience: Automated irrigation system and Automated environmental control equipment
Equipment and machinery experience: Loader, Planting equipment, Sprayer or duster, Tillage equipment, Tractor
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should have strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidates should demonstrate sound discrimination skills
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and work overtime as required
- The candidates should be prepared for farming in a variety of conditions, including outdoors in wet or damp environments, noisy and dusty settings, as well as hot and cold/refrigerated conditions, specifically in fruit and vegetable combination farming and other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility
- The candidates should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to hoe crops, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to perform stone and/or wood picking
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market
