Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, and Own transportation
Work setting: Rural area
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Equipment and machinery experience: Forklift, Loader, Tractor, Fertilizer applicator, Sprayer or duster, Tillage equipment, and Hand tools
Credentials: First Aid Certificate
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and be physically capable of performing demanding tasks
- The candidates should exhibit manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, along with the ability to distinguish between colors accurately
- The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail in their work, be able to walk as part of their duties, and handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as necessary
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making situations and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their duties consistently, work effectively as part of a team, fostering collaboration, and uphold strong values and ethics in their professional conduct
- The candidates should be quick learners, capable of grasping new concepts and tasks efficiently
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform brush collecting, bud trees, and train fruit trees
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizer, pick row and orchard crops, and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, sort and pack fruits and vegetables, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
