Salary: $19.00 hourly for 40 hours per week

Location: Langley, BC
Shifts: Day
Work setting: Room and board provided
Type of crops: Bell peppers, blueberries, strawberries, and tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with fruit and vegetable combination farming and able to work outdoors
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility and exercise good judgment
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables and divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, as well as mix fertilizer and fertilize and spray crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, write daily basic progress reports, and examine products for quality and readiness for the market
- The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
