Blue Grouse Estate Winery and Vineyard based in Duncan, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Farm Worker, Fruit. Blue Grouse Estate Winery and Vineyard is known to work to make everything we touch better than it was when we found it. We provide the best training to our team: the environment that hosts our vineyard and home, the vines we grow, the wines we make, the infrastructure that supports the winery and vineyard, and the economics of our business model – everything. Salary: $16.00 per hour for 40 hours per week

Location: Duncan, BC
Shifts: To be determined
Work Site Environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming, Other miscellaneous crop farming
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of Crops: Grapes
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Cleaning crop and Fruit trees training
- The candidate should be able to maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes
- The candidate should be able to mix fertilizer
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidate should be able to fertilize and spray crops
- The candidate should be able to harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidate should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for market
- The candidate should be able to write daily basic progress reports
