Cannon Estate Winery Ltd based in Abbotsford, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Farm worker. At Cannon Estate Winery Ltd we are dedicated to creating top calibre wines, and, in that, demonstrating the Fraser Valley can be an exceptional place to produce wine. The integrity of our winemaking process ensures we retain the quality of grapes grown in our vineyard. We also limit the type and quantity of winemaking products we use. This commitment extends to all wine made at Cannon Estate Winery, whether The Wick or Cannon brand. Salary: $15.65 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Shifts: Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning
Work Setting: Rural area
Work site environment: Other miscellaneous crop farming, Outdoors, Viticulture
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Type of crops: Grapes
Equipment and machinery experience: Fruit harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis and stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should have fruit trees training.
- The candidate should be able to shear with knife, fertilize, harvest and spray crops.
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
