Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and be willing to work in wet or damp conditions
- The candidates should be able to tolerate odors and work in hot environments and be non-smoking
- The candidates should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and be prepared for repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and be physically fit for physically demanding work
- The candidates should have strong attention to detail, be able to stand for extended periods, and be able to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exercise good judgment
- The candidates should be organized and be a team player
- The candidates should uphold strong values and ethics and be reliable
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops, clip plants, deleaf plants, grade produce, and clean greenhouses
- The candidates should be able to hand-harvest vegetables, lower plants, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, sucker plants, and tie plants
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, harvest crops, sort and pack fruits and vegetables, and report signs of insect or disease damage
- The candidates should be able to clean the work area
