Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Punjabi
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Fertilizer applicator, tractor, farm truck, fruit harvester, lift truck, and planting equipment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in fruit and vegetable combination farming and have knowledge of tree and orchard fruit cultivation
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced agricultural environment, be prepared for physically demanding tasks, and be accustomed to repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads, comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to manage a large workload while being comfortable with sitting for extended periods and engaging in regular walking activities
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops, perform deleafing, grade vegetables and fruits, hand harvest vegetables, and mix fertilizer
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, irrigate crops, perform weeding, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery, and provide agricultural crop services
- The candidates should be able to maintain quality control and production records, supervise crop-related operations, and maintain work records and logs
