Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, and other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in wet/damp, noisy, dusty, and hot conditions, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and work effectively under pressure
- The candidates should be familiar with repetitive tasks and capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be prepared for physically demanding work and possess a strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, open to overtime requirements and the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidates should be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, walking, and bending, crouching, and kneeling
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, hoe crops, weed, and clean crops
- The candidates should be able to harvest seedlings, hand-harvest vegetables, shear with a knife, harvest crops, and cull vegetables
- The candidates should be able to grade, clean greenhouses, sort and pack fruits and vegetables, and load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry. Additionally, they should be able to clean the work area
