Salary: $16.55 hourly for 35 to 72 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Vienna, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend
Work setting: Rural Area
Type of crops: Asparagus, Cucumbers, Garlic, Ginseng
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Type of industry experience: Tobacco
Equipment and machinery experience: Tillage equipment, Tractor, Vegetable harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment in vegetables and melon farming (except potato) and capable of performing repetitive tasks in agricultural activities
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks in crop cultivation, possess attention to detail in farming operations, and have effective hand-eye coordination for precision tasks
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking in agricultural settings, and able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling in the field
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops and examine produce for quality
- The candidates should be able to prepare harvested produce for the market
