Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be open to other miscellaneous crop farming.
- The candidates should be comfortable working in or on water and be able to work in wet or damp conditions.
- The candidates should be tolerant of odors and able to work in dusty environments
- The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions and be willing to work in cold or refrigerated environments
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks and capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be physically fit to manage demanding tasks and possess hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate flexibility in their work approach
- The candidates should be organized and exhibit reliability
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables efficiently and harvest seedlings accurately
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizer appropriately and pick row and orchard crops diligently
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops proficiently and perform seed cutting tasks accurately
- The candidates should be able to weed the fields thoroughly and clean the work area systematically
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops safely and effectively and sort and pack fruits and vegetables neatly
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops efficiently and load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry diligently
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment proficiently
