Sparkes Corn Barn is a charming agricultural enterprise specializing in the cultivation and distribution of fresh corn and other farm produce. Nestled in the heart of rural landscapes, Sparkes Corn Barn offers visitors a unique farm-to-table experience, allowing them to handpick their own corn and other seasonal delights directly from the fields. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of Farm worker, vegetables is approved by LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment)

Salary: $16.75 hourly for 35 to 65 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: 46265 Prairie Central Road Chilliwack, BC V2P 6H3
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning
Type of crops: Field berries, raspberries, strawberries, and sweet corn
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor, and planting equipment
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication, demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances, and exercise good judgment in decision-making
- The candidates should be organized in managing tasks and priorities, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform grading tasks, hand harvest vegetables, hoe crops, and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to perform vegetable culling, weed crops, and harvest crops
