Supervision: 11-15 people
Type of crops: Cucumbers, Tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
- The candidates should be able to maintain financial and production records
- The candidates should be able to provide agricultural livestock services such as artificial insemination, spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens, barns or poultry houses
- The candidates should be able to co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers, develop work schedules and establish procedures
- The candidates should be able to maintain livestock performance records, hire and train staff
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
