Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have dispatch experience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should possess data entry skills
- The candidates should have effective oral/written communication, problem-solving, basic research, and time management skills
- The candidates should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
- The candidates should be capable of accurate and rapid data entry
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to dispatch drivers with loads, coordinate overflows, and verify driver’s hours of service for this position
- The candidates should be able to manage Yard Control duties, assigning trailer movement to shifters around the yard and in the unload during the sort with multiple shifters
- The candidates should be able to dispatch loads throughout the country in the feeder network based on different service levels, time in transit, and sort indicators
- The candidates should be able to answer the telephone, key data, files, etc.
- The candidates should be able to track trailers & equipment using internal systems
- The candidates should be able to communicate with UPS drivers and external carriers
- The candidates should be able to dispatch UPS drivers, maintain yard inventory, and resolve customer complaints
- The candidates should be able to run a variety of reports and be able to perform various other tasks as assigned by the supervisor and/or manager
