Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have 5+ years of experience operating in field installation services
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and lifts to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and repair
- The candidates should have the ability to work at heights and lift and maneuver 50 pounds continuously
- The candidates should be able to meet scheduled deadlines, be available for frequent travel for extended periods of time and be able to maintain an orderly, clean, and safe worksite
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have GED, or similar equivalent education, a Millwright certification and Safety Certification for Supervisors, Welding Certifications, Aerial Lift License, Forklift License, and First Aid/AED licenses
- The candidates should have experience in sheet metal fabrication, equipment installation in the agriculture and food industry, and equipment rigging
- The candidates should have previous experience working in heavy industrial and construction environments and experience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, and other heavy equipment
- The candidates should have verifiable experience supervising project team members and managing on-site project activities, scheduling, and reporting
- The candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude and read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- The candidates should have experience using reporting platforms such as timekeeping systems to approve employee time worked
- The candidates should maintain and follow CVOR regulations applicable to AGI and strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with employees and clients
- The candidates should have a commitment to safety and environmental standards knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to ensure compliance with all standards, procedures, contractual commitments, and applicable policies by the workforce or subcontractors and plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of equipment installation teams, including AGI companies and third-party trades
- The candidates should be able to schedule and oversee projects to control costs, ensuring profitability, timely completion, and customer satisfaction, communicate job details to relevant personnel for effective planning and execution and foster a positive work environment to build a cohesive and high-performing team
- The candidates should be able to lead and supervise skilled labor and work crews in equipment installation tasks, including rigging, piping, welding, and demolition, installation and optimize resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials for efficiency and timely project completion
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, adhering to policies, procedures, and work practices while identifying areas for improvement and maintain daily communication with AGI and the client’s Project Manager through project completion
- The candidates should be able to conduct daily job hazard analyses and ensure all required customer permits are completed before work begins and lead daily toolbox meetings with the workforce and subcontractors
- The candidates should be able to develop and train a high-performing team to achieve peak performance, continuous improvement, and a positive work environment and collaborate with AGI management and the schedule manager to assess workload, manpower needs, and job status
- The candidates should be able to review project specifications, plan projects with AGI management, and coordinate with the Lead Field Installer and communicate job status and changes clearly with AGI management and subcontractors
- The candidates should be able to follow up with installers to ensure adherence to plans and assign the best crews for each job and attend job site meetings to report on project completion timelines or delays and handle job change orders and inform relevant parties of any modifications and address and troubleshoot issues arising during the installation process
- The candidates should be able to follow defined installation procedures for vendor equipment in compliance with company policies, building codes, and manufacturer instructions and prioritize workplace safety and ensure adherence to safety procedures with a goal of zero accidents per year and stay updated on industry equipment, knowledge, and requirements and ensure accurate completion of paperwork, including site work permits, daily reports, and timecards
