Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have one to two years experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a relevant diploma and preferred one to two years’ experience with the collection of loan balances, application of payments, and renegotiation of loan repayment terms
  • The candidates should provide a satisfactory criminal record check. Failure to provide a satisfactory check may deem them disqualified from the competition
  • The candidates should clearly identify their eligibility in order to receive priority consideration under the Affirmative Action Policy

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to process all funds collected within the Income Security Programs Division, managing the complete receivables cycle
  • The candidates should be able to counsel clients on the repayment, remission, and suspension of student loans
  • The candidates should be able to interpret relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, and provide informed advice to the public, program delivery staff, and management
