Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have 1 – 3 years of experience in providing financial advice to clients and establishing relationships while achieving performance targets

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be flexible to work banking center hours, including evenings and weekends, and to work at multiple banking centers within a reasonable travel distance to help deliver a great client experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be certified professionals with current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing, including successful completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) licensing, and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC). It’s an asset if they’ve completed CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course – Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790)
  • The candidates should have expertise in Business Development and Client Relationship Management
  • The candidates should excel in Community Connections and Customer Experience (CX)
  • The candidates should possess skills in Financial Advising, Investments, and Lending
  • The candidates should be experienced in Portfolio Management and be results-oriented

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to build and grow a dedicated client portfolio through relationship management, financial services support, and exceptional client service as a member of the Personal and Business Banking Team
  • The candidates should be able to deliver on CIBC’s Imperial Service approach as a Financial Advisor, acting as a single point of contact for clients and helping them plan for their current needs and future goals
  • The candidates should be able to make lasting connections and provide the right financial advice, assisting clients in securing their futures, owning homes, and setting up businesses
  • The candidates should be able to focus on each client’s experience and connect on a personal level to make every interaction meaningful as part of client engagement. They should provide tailored advice and solutions in all areas of financial planning, including day-to-day banking, investments, lending, and estate planning. Additionally, they should cultivate their network to establish new client relationships
  • The candidates should be able to deeply understand their local market and potential client base to create sales plans that convert leads into new clients as part of business development. They should use their strong relationship-building and networking skills to create connections, generate opportunities, and deliver bottom-line results. They should leverage CIBC’s wide range of credit and investment solutions to provide a needs-based approach that results in satisfied, loyal clients and increased referrals
  • The candidates should be able to heighten CIBC brand awareness in their community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities as part of community involvement. They should grow their network to create lasting connections that generate future opportunities
