Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales

  • The candidates should have proven networking, client acquisition, and interpersonal skills, including experience building and maintaining Centres of Influence (COIs)
  • The candidates should be goal-oriented and entrepreneurial, capable of working independently as self-motivated professionals with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
  • The candidates should possess extensive knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment
  • The candidates should have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle to meet clients and prospects within the designated district
  • The candidates should be prepared to thrive in an entrepreneurial culture that offers career development opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to provide excellent client experiences without requiring branch visits, value partnerships with branch networks and Scotia Global Asset Management to enhance the client experience, embrace a work culture that promotes diversity, respect, and inclusion

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to execute business development plans for both prospects and existing clients within the mass affluent market
  • The candidates should be able to identify investment business development opportunities and implement investment solutions or refer to appropriate partners
  • The candidates should be able to provide client-centric investment solutions using a financial planning framework aligned with Global Sales Principles
  • The candidates should be able to conduct outbound communications and proactive calls to prospects to remain top-of-mind for future business opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to conduct complimentary needs analysis, including reviewing multiple financial statements and competitor statements
  • The candidates should be able to actively participate in local professional and community events and associations to build and expand their network
  • The candidates should be able to identify opportunities to deliver community information sessions and financial seminars to attract and grow prospects
  • The candidates should be able to build and maintain a strong market profile within their assigned market area
  • The candidates should be able to network effectively with investment industry specialists while managing a small budget for independent, marketing-based activities
