Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have successfully completed a Personal Financial Planning (PFP) designation and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial planning and investment sales
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be goal-oriented and entrepreneurial, able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
- The candidate should have extensive knowledge of competitive offerings, market trends, economic conditions, and the regulatory environment
- The candidate should possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for meeting clients and prospects within the designated district
- The candidate should be motivated by an entrepreneurial culture that offers the freedom to develop their career
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be a mutual funds certified professional with current accreditation and in good standing with MFDA licensing requirements (Investments Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
- The candidate should demonstrate proven networking, client acquisition, and interpersonal skills, with experience in building and maintaining Centres of Influence (COIs)
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to execute business development plans targeting both prospects and existing clients within the mass affluent market
- The candidate should be able to identify additional investment business development opportunities and facilitate the implementation of tailored investment solutions or make appropriate partner referrals
- The candidate should be able to provide client-centric investment solutions using a financial planning framework aligned with Global Sales Principles
- The candidate should be able to conduct proactive outbound communications and calls to prospects to maintain visibility and generate future business opportunities
- The candidate should be able to perform complimentary needs analyses across various financial statements, including those from competitors
- The candidate should be able to participate actively in local professional and community events and associations to grow their professional network
- The candidate should be able to identify and deliver community information sessions and financial seminars to attract new prospects
- The candidate should be able to build and maintain a strong market profile within the assigned territory
- The candidate should be able to network with investment industry specialists while managing a small budget for independent marketing-related activities
