Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a CFP or PFP Designation
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should possess superior communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • The candidate should have an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the Canadian taxation system
  • The candidate should have working knowledge of financial planning software (such as Conquest)
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and the ability to adapt to a fast-changing software environment

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to prepare comprehensive personal financial plans on behalf of the various sales forces and with the Financial Planning Specialists, which includes determining the clients’ objectives, analyzing the clients’ current situations, and developing appropriate advice, strategies, and recommendations
  • The candidates should be able to stay current with financial planning standards and practices
  • The candidates should be able to identify, anchor, introduce, and follow up on opportunities for complimentary businesses and solutions
  • The candidates should be able to maintain a high level of partnership and knowledge regarding all of RBC’s units
  • The candidates should be able to contribute ideas and participate in development projects to enhance services
  • The candidates should be able to provide ongoing coaching and training to other professionals in Wealth Management Services
