Salary: $16.25 hourly for 30 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Yarmouth, NS
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Work site environment: Noisy, Odours, Cold/refrigerated, Wet/damp
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset, also training will be provided to the candidates
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail.
- The candidate should be physically demanding and should work for overtime .
- The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks on frequent basis and handle heavy loads.
- The candidate should have manual dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.
- The candidate should be willing to work in a bending, crouching, kneeling , standing position for extended periods of time.
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be efficient and a good team player.
- The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be someone who can be relied on.
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to transport fish and shellfish to work area.
- The candidate should be able to weigh fish or shellfish, record weight and pack fish in ice.
